    Cinnamon Roll

    Step1

    Mix the flour with sugar, dry yeast, salt, and vanilla sugar. Add the lukewarm milk and water, and knead everything into a smooth dough. Cover and let rise at room temperature for about 25 minutes. Then mix the cooled butter with the egg yolk and add to the dough.

    Mix the cinnamon and sugar for the filling. Roll out the dough on a floured work surface into a rectangle, spread with margarine, and sprinkle with the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Roll up the dough and cut into evenly thick slices. Place each roll on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and gently flatten with your hand. Cover and let rise for another 20 minutes. Bake the rolls for about 15-20 minutes.

    For the cream, simmer the cream and sugar in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens.

    Step4

    Remove the finished rolls from the oven, let them cool slightly, and drizzle with some cream and sprinkle with nuts.
