Directions
Hamburger
Divide the ground beef into 2 patties, each about 2cm thick and 9cm in diameter. Transfer the patties to a plate or baking sheet lined with parchment paper and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
Remove the patties from the refrigerator and season both sides with salt and pepper.
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add oil to the pan and swirl to coat evenly. Place the patties in the skillet and cook on the first side for 5 minutes, until a brown crust forms.
Flip the patties, placing a slice of cheese on each one, and cook until the patties are browned on the other side, the cheese has melted, and the meat is cooked through, about an additional 5 minutes.
Remove the patties from the skillet and transfer them to a clean cutting board. Allow them to rest for about 5 minutes.
Place the patties on the hamburger buns and serve with your favorite toppings and condiments.
